Pattern cutting and assembling on a stand....

I am trying to fit different segments of fitted calico on a stand, experimenting with different design lines. I liked this method of assembling a garment the best because you ended up with precise fitted pieces at the end.

Experimenting on a stand...

Our teacher at university demonstrated hot to make this creative neck overlapped design. I then went and tried constructing it myself. I later on started to add some of my own ideas to the garment to give it a sort of semi-finished look.

BALLGOWNS British Glamour since 1950

I attended the ballgown exhibition that was showing at the V&A.
The V&A celebrates the opening of the newly renovated Fashion Galleries with an exhibition of beautiful ballgowns, red carpet evening dresses and catwalk showstoppers. Displayed over two floors, 'Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950' features more than sixty designs for social events such as private parties, royal balls, state occasions and opening nights.
